Megan loves being in the thick of all things theatre, but her ultimate goal is to promote theatre to the world of non-theatre people. It was the same when she was the theatre writer for blogTO, or the Fringe Correspondent for CBC Radio One‘s Here and Now, as it is as the founder of Mooney on Theatre. Her basic belief is that there is theatre/performance out there for everyone to love, they just need to find it. This is not to be confused with the idea that everyone should love theatre for theatre’s sake, in fact, as obsessed as she is with theatre, even *she* doesn’t love all types of theatre.

Fringe for Free – Harper Girl – 8pm show on Saturday

contest-web-graphic Being compared to Steven Colbert has to feel pretty good.  EYE says: “If the CBC’s comedy line-up had an equivalent to The Colbert Report, the show would somehow have to involve Ruby Jones, a.k.a. Harper Girl, a.k.a. Rusa Jeremic. Like Colbert, Jeremic veils her political savvy under an exaggerated right-wing caricature, smartly poking holes in the Conservative establishment, from John Turner to Conrad Black.”

Wanna see Harper Girl for free?  Well then, enter the contest to win free tickets to her 8pm show tonight at Theatre Passe Muraille (16 Ryerson Ave)!

To be entered to win a pair of free tickets to Saturday’s show all you need to do is leave a comment* sometime before 6:30pm Saturday.

Fringe for Free: Waiting for Dad, Saturday July 11, 1:45pm

contest-web-graphic This was a late addition to this year’s Toronto Fringe Festival, which means it’s not in the program, and therefore is in danger of being overlooked.
