Toronto – May 26, 2010 – “Sex, Drugs and the Holy Ghost” (SDHG) will make its
world debut at the Toronto Fringe Festival, on Friday, July 2, 2010, presented and
produced by Under the Blood Productions.
SDHG is a one-woman show that explores the unspoken truths of sex, drugs and God, through experiences of church members; an Ex-Stripper, Deacon‟s wife and „tell it like it is‟ Grandma Word. It is produced, written and starring Diane L. Johnstone, co-produced by Toni A. Thomas and directed by Winnie W. Wong.
“Magnetic performer” Diane L. Johnstone (aka Diane L. Daniel) has been seen on
both stage and screen. Her first feature film was as Marge, in The Rev, a Sunny
Days Production and has since appeared on Kenny Robinson‟s All Night Jam, which aired on the Comedy Network. Diane‟s favourite stage credits include starring in the very successful Da Kink in My Hair (Toronto and the Atlantic Fringe
Festivals), She Never Bought Me an Easy Bake Oven (Toronto Fringe Festival), her
solo shows Bourgee-Bush Woman & Church Street, walk the talk (Toronto, Hamilton and London Fringe Festivals), and Harriet Tubman in Harriet Tubman, the Great Escape.
Toni A. Thomas (Producer) and Winnie W. Wong (Director) join Under the Blood
Productions with extensive film and television credits stemming over 10 years.
„Sex Drugs & the Holy Ghost’ will mark their theatrical production debut.
