Fringe for Free! Toronto Fringe ticket giveaways for shows playing on Monday, July 9th

We’re rounding out the first week here at the Toronto Fringe Festival. If you’re still one of those unfortunate few who haven’t seen anything yet, here is your shot at getting two free tickets to one of the FIVE following shows! You can enter a contest for any or all the shows you like, grab a friend and Fringe for Free. Here are the five shows that are we are giving away tickets for on Monday July 9th, 2012.

The shows are:

TICK –  To be entered into the draw for a pair of tickets to the 2:00pm show at George Ignatieff Theatre (Venue 6) please send an email to contests@mooneyontheatre.com with the subject line “TICK contest” by 7pm on Sunday, July 8, 2012.

The Super Secret Subway Society – To be entered into the draw for *4 tickets* to the 2:30pm show at Palmerston Theatre (Venue FK) please send an email to contests@mooneyontheatre.com with the subject line “The Super Secret Subway Society contest” by 7pm on Sunday, July 8, 2012.

The Princess of Porn – To be entered into the draw for a pair of tickets to the 4:45pm show at Randolph Theatre (Venue 4) please send an email to contests@mooneyontheatre.com with the subject line “The Princess of Porn” by 7pm on Sunday, July 8, 2012.

pomme is french for apple – To be entered into the draw for a pair of tickets to the 8:45pm show at Theatre Passe Muraille (Venue 10) please send an email to contests@mooneyontheatre.com with the subject line “pomme is french for apple contest” by 7pm on Sunday, July 8, 2012.

All the World’s a Stage of Grief – To be entered into the draw for a pair of tickets to the 10:30pm show at Randolph Theatre (Venue 4) please send an email to contests@mooneyontheatre.com with the subject line “All the World’s a Stage of Grief contest” by 7pm on Sunday, July 8, 2012.

The Shape of Things (Theatre Bassaris) 2012 Toronto Fringe Review

Basking in the cool air of St. Vlad’s Theatre, I hadn’t any expectations for Theatre Bassaris’ Toronto Fringe entry entitled The Shape of Things. I was happy to be out of the heat and curious about the type of show director Alex Fields had in store for me. The synopsis was intriguing enough, but didn’t hint to much besides a general gist.

How I Lost One Pound: The Musical (Toy Box Productions) 2012 Toronto Fringe Review

If you’re looking for genuine fun at the Toronto Fringe Festival this year, you’ll find it in Toy Box Production’s How I Lost One Pound: The Musical. The Fringe is always a crap shoot when it comes to finding gems, so the best thing for any company is to drum up some good buzz to get the curiosity flowing and the audience filling. Only three days into the festival, and Lesley Carlsberg’s offering already had some great buzz zipping past my ears while I was waiting to walk into the AC’d Passe Muraille theatre.
