Megan loves being in the thick of all things theatre, but her ultimate goal is to promote theatre to the world of non-theatre people. It was the same when she was the theatre writer for blogTO, or the Fringe Correspondent for CBC Radio One‘s Here and Now, as it is as the founder of Mooney on Theatre. Her basic belief is that there is theatre/performance out there for everyone to love, they just need to find it. This is not to be confused with the idea that everyone should love theatre for theatre’s sake, in fact, as obsessed as she is with theatre, even *she* doesn’t love all types of theatre.

_____________

PERFORMANCE | The Zoo Story by Edward Albee | Touring Toronto Parks | SEPT 2 – SEPT 19

Red One Theatre Collective presents a park-touring production of Edward Albee’s The Zoo Story.  Directed by Mac Fyfe (Mojo, The Dumb Waiter).  Starring Tyrone Savage (Wind at my back, RedWall, Instant Star) and Brenhan McKibben.

We’re re-inventing “community theatre,” and bringing this classic play directly to your neighbourhood!  Just bring a blanket to sit on; come out and enjoy this uniquely natural production in your local park.   The Zoo Story explores themes of isolation, loneliness, social disparity and dehumanization in a commercial world.  This stunningly beautiful play is set on a park bench, where two strangers meet and struggle to find depth and meaning in their lives.
