2009 Theatre Subscription Series – Theatre Passe Muraille

By Megan Mooney

Next in the subscription series profiles is Theatre Passe Muraille.

This is the 42nd season of Theatre Passe Muraille.  I’ll admit a bias here – I have loved Theatre Passe Muraille ever since I was first introduced to them in university (I lived a wee sheltered theatre life before university).  I’ve never worked for them or anything, I just, I don’t know, there’s something there I connected with.

2009 Theatre Subscription Series – Harbourfront’s World Stage

Next in the subscription series profiles is Harbourfront’s World Stage.

This one is a bit different than the other series.  It isn’t a focus on Canadian theatre, it’s not even a focus on Toronto productions, in fact, just the opposite, World Stage focuses on bringing to Toronto, “unrivalled works of international and national theatre, dance, music and multidisciplinary performance from the globe’s leading artists.”

This means that there are Canadian offerings, we do, of course, create “unrivalled works”, but you also get to experience stuff from Ireland, England, Australia, Belgium, Germany, and France.
