Blood Orange Theatre is proud to present a play by Anna Standish at the 2011Toronto Fringe Festival

Directed by Sarah Miller-GarvinBlood Orange Theatre was formed in 2006 by a group of young artists, raised in Toronto, tryingto find opportunities and working to create them for themselves. Their work incorporated surrealelements into important issues of identity and situation. Over the years, as they moved out of theyoung artist category, they have expanded to involve many more artists and voices. They havekept their surrealist elements while rising to the challenge of responding to the changing city andworld we live in. Their first show in the Toronto Fringe was Pokeroot and Mistletoe in 2008.

Now they’re back to bring us Hushabye by Anna Standish, directed by Sarah Miller-Garvin. Aplay of nightdreams and daymares, Mary, a troubled university student, starts a relationship withher university mathematics professor while she searches her dreams for an old friend and answers to formulas in her life that just don’t add up. Hushabye is a story of dreams, reality andfacing ones past.

Hushabye explores past, future, present, dreams, reality, sex, loss, truth, lies and dares you towake up. The play features Ron Kelly, Jenn Fraser and Darwin Lyons is Produced by SarahMiller-Garvin, Anna Standish and Joshua Korngut.
